Vero Beach & Surroundings

Vero Beach is a small town full of big surprises! Whether your ideal getaway involves shopping, the beach, exploring nature, or dining out, Vero Beach has it all. In a hurry? Here’s a PDF of places to eat, drink, shop, play, and more!

Stroll through picturesque Downtown Oceanside Vero Beach where you’ll find beautiful, unique boutiques. These are not your big brand stores, but small establishments curated with fashionable items. Coffee shops, ice cream, and an array of restaurants from casual to fine dining can be found throughout Oceanside. Eat early! Most Vero restaurants close their kitchens by 9:00 PM. Reservations for fine-dining spots are strongly suggested.

Humiston Beach Park is located in Oceanside Vero. This is an oceanfront park with picnic and grill areas, a playground, parking, and a beachfront boardwalk.

Downtown Mainland Vero Beach also offers plenty of different restaurants and unique dining experiences. Shops, art galleries, thrift shops, and consignment shops offer a unique experience: a friendly helpful ambiance and that small-town experience that is so rare nowadays. There is something for everyone and always a kind person to assist you anywhere you visit in Vero Beach.

Riverside Park is just 5 minutes away by car or 15 minutes on one of our free bikes! At the park, you’ll find the Vero Beach Museum of Art and the Riverside Theater, which offers live outdoor music every Friday and Saturday. Check their site for details and additional amenities. When you visit Riverside Park, be sure to check out the tranquil, beautiful Veterans Memorial Island Sanctuary, a perfect place to watch the sunset.

Round Island Beach Park is right on the Indian River, where you can spend the day exploring the wooded walking trail, enjoying their beach, picnic area, or manatee-watching. You might even spot a dolphin!

While visiting Vero, you’ll want to check out the stunning McKee Botanical Gardens, go on an adventure with The Environmental Learning Center, and learn about our town’s history at the Indian River Citrus Museum. There is plenty to explore and experience in this quaint little beach town.
